First, we have exciting news. Our friend Nina, gave us a glowing review and a great honor. I just wanted to thank her publicly for her kind words and thoughtfulness. We really appreciate the sentiment and all of the compliments she paid to us can easily apply to her as well. We’ve both been reading her blog for some time now and I highly recommend that everyone pop over there and show her some love.

Happy St. Patrick’s day to everyone who celebrates it. We thought that this being a town big on drinking would be a great town for this holiday. So, we headed to Bourbon St. to try to find some trouble.
Even though it was early, there was a pretty good crowd, not a lot of kids and quite a few very beautiful women to look at. However, in the hour and a half we walked the streets, we didn’t see one pair of tits. Not only is this a travesty to the name of the street, but it is also highly unusual.
One of the common misconceptions about Bourbon St. is that the flashing stops after Mardi Gras. This just isn’t the case. If there is a crowd, there are usually tits to be found. However, they were obviously on a covert mission tonight because we didn’t see anyone having that kind of fun. You would think that a bunch of drunks would be ready to shed their clothes as on any normal night on Bourbon especially for some high quality green beads. But I guess, this particular holiday sends the boobs into hiding and instead is more about the green beer.
It’s a pity really. We are going to head to the local lesbian bar in a bit. If there is anything to report from there, you can read about it here tomorrow. Hopefully, we won’t be as bored there as we were on Bourbon tonight.
I love this city. I really do. As Jonathan mentioned yesterday, I got some exciting news. I’ll be starting a new permanent position next week. Even though it is office work, it is in a challenging field, pays very well, and has tons of benefits.
I went to my pre-employment physical this morning. It was uneventful. However, I left it about an hour before Jonathan was to take lunch. I called and we agreed that I’d hang around on that side of the river so that I could meet him.
Hmm … What to do for an hour in the French Quarter? I of course headed to Bourbon St.

“Girls Night Out” turned out to be something of a bust. There weren’t a lot of people there, everyone who was there was already paired up, and the club was really too loud to talk to anyone. If you didn’t know anyone before you walked in the door, odds were you weren’t going to meet anyone new. It was more of a place to dance and drink with your existing friends.
This is in sharp contrast to the regular lesbian bar. Though it is loud, it is also very crowded and there are plenty of places to go in order to have a good conversation. In one night there we met so many people we couldn’t keep names straight, meanwhile, last night, we didn’t talk to another soul. There was almost no one to approach, no means to approach and no way to hear if we did.
The only place one could talk at “Girls Night Out” was on the balcony and that presented a completely new set of navigational challenges. Like most Bourbon St. balconies it was narrow and difficult to maneuver. Throw in a few steps and some patio furniture and you have a regular maze.
Still, the place had a good atmosphere and I do hope to go back at some point. Since nothing else is going on on Tuesdays and admission is free, it’s probably something we’ll try again. Perhaps yesterday was just an off night. It’s just too bad that it’s not held on a Friday, that makes it very difficult to stay long, even if we want to.
Regardless, it did make us appreciate our regular lesbian bar more and put us in the mood to go back there. We’re already planning to return to it Friday or Saturday… or both.
In the meantime, we have a lot of work to do around the house and other things to get caught up on. Crystal got some big news today (I’ll let her tell you about it tomorrow) and that’s going to keep us busy for a while.
We’re heading out soon to a local gay club’s “Girls Night Out”. We heard about it from one of the women that was at the lesbian bar the last time we went. We were actually supposed to go last Tuesday, but I was very sick and couldn’t make it. So, we’ll try again to meet up with her there tonight. Hopefully, we’ll see her out and about. The only bad thing is that Jonathan has to work tomorrow, so we might not be able to stay out as late as we would normally.
Sorry for the short post. I’m very busy right now making jewelry for a craft show and haven’t been out of the house much because of it. Ergo, I haven’t had a lot of inspiration for writing sexy posts lately, or much of anything else for that matter.
Yes, tonight will be a good night to get me out of the house. I need to take my mind off the show for a bit and have some fun. I plan on doing a full review of how the night goes either tonight or early tomorrow.
A couple of quick things to mention, one we’ve added our yahoo names to the site with a way to tell when we’re online. Be sure to drop by any time you want to chat. We might post times later which we will definitely be on when our schedule calms down a little.
The other thing is that I have a new desktop. I got it from this site that Jonathan found. All of the desktops are free and totally hot. It’s nice to see nipples on my screen.
Not many places throw a party for the sake of throwing a party and few, if any, do it better than New Orleans. This year’s Mardi Gras was a great one, attendance was on par with pre-Katrina levels, the crowd was wild, but safe, the costumes were insane and there was so much to see and do that there was no way to take it all in.
As locals, we were fortunate enough to be able to enjoy four days of festivities. Since the French Quarter is within easy walking distance of our front door, we thought nothing about popping in for a few hours and leaving before we got too tired to do it again tomorrow. We had a blast every day and are already looking forward to next year’s Mardi Gras.
In the meantime, here’s a look back at what went down each of the days we went out.

I just got done uploading the last of the Mardi Gras photos, for now at least.
There are now 200 photos, 198 to be exact, up of the Mardi Gras festivities spread out over the four days we were on the street. It was a great time and I’m working on a lengthy text wrap up now.
Looking back on Fat Tuesday, we have a lot of great pictures of flashers and beautiful women, but we also really enjoyed the costumes, the people and the decorations. Every Mardi Gras is a parade of freaks more than anything else and the costumes are always incredible and outrageous. Over the course of the day, you will laugh at least once. Don’t take my word for it though, see for yourself.
All in all, Mardi Gras is back! Make no mistake about it. After a rough year last year, this one was business as usual. We look forward to seeing you all next year.
Monday marked Lundi Gras or Mardi Gras Eve. It’s also the first day that the true Mardi Gras crowd hits the streets. It was a great party, lots of costumes, signs, revelry, boobs and beads to be found. We also got a LOT of great pictures of the day’s festivities.
However, sadly, the photos are NOT up at this time. Flickr threw a hissy fit last night and I wasn’t able to get them prepped and up before I caved in to exhaustion. I’m looking into alternatives to get away from Flickr but, in the mean time, we’ll have to wait an extra day or so. Some time Wednesday I should have a massive update of all the Mardi Gras and Lundi Gras pictures along with a more thorough recap.
In the meantime, enjoy the pictures that are up and we’ll see you in the French Quarter!
First off, for all who are interested, there are new Mardi Gras pictures up in the gallery. Once again, these photos include nudity and adult content, please do not visit the gallery if you are not of age or might be offended by such material.
This has already been an incredible Mardi Gras. Though the media is saying the numbers are off slightly from pre-Katrina levels, it feels as good or better than ones we went to in the past. The crowds are huge, the parades are great, people are drinking, dancing and showing skin. Even the unusually cold weather has not been able to slow things down.
Some time after Mardi Gras, probably on Wednesday, we’ll post a much more thorough recap of the festivities, already so many stories to share. In the meantime, we’ll keep posting the pictures as fast as we can get them downloaded, edited and uploaded.
Let us know what you think!
Last night we went to Bourbon St. Mardi Gras is definitely in full swing. There were thousands of people and all of them were partying.
This Mardi Gras feels like a full one. The hotels are at capacity and the girls seem to be more willing than ever to bare it all. We took a few pictures and have started a gallery of some of the things we saw. Be forewarned that the gallery does contain some nudity, nothing that you wouldn’t see in an r-rated movie though.
There is plenty of fun to be had this year. Sorry for the short post, but we have to get back to the action. Watch for more pictures over the next few days.
